"It was expected that Cloud Computing would remain among the key technology trends during 2010 and beyond, but never expected it this way – amazingly, Cloud Computing has made it as the number one technology to watch at Gartner Top 10 Strategic Technology Areas for 2010. Rising from number three during 2009, Cloud Computing is the number one technology trend that you can’t afford to ignore for at least three years now'' Infosys

About Cloud Computing
Cloud Computing a rapidly emerging computing model that meets the growth and demand of internet-connected devices. In general terms its defined as anything that involved delivering a hosted services over the internet. It really comes into play when you think of what IT needs as a combination of services i.e. capability, capacity, storage and security all of this now can be provided by ‘the cloud’, a virtualized service.
So why use ‘the Cloud’ firstly it has low capital expenditure as all you need is a computer and all the IT you need can then can be bought over net, it’s on demand, delivered by the minute or hour, and its elastic you have as much as you want.
So what exactly are the limitations, how do decide on who/what to use and what could be the pit falls, these as some of the issues that will be discussed further in the conference! |
