Andrew Charlesworth is Reader in IT Law in the School of Law and Department of Computer Science at the University of Bristol, where he is the Director of the cross-disciplinary Centre for IT & Law. His key areas of research include data privacy, intellectual property, and e-commerce.
Recent projects include work as part of the team which produced a comprehensive methodology for the conduct of effective Privacy Impact Assessments in the UK, and the Handbook on PIAs in the UK Information Commissioner, and collaborative work with researchers at HP Labs on privacy in cloud computing.
